Colin E. Callender is the great-grandson of W.E.S Callender, QC, who founded Callenders & Co. in 1903. He continues his family’s legacy in the Firm as the Managing Partner and partner responsible for the Nassau office. Born in 1941, Callender was educated at the Taunton School in Somerset, England. He was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple) in July 1962 and admitted to The Bahamas Bar one month later. Callender holds membership in the International Bar Association, The Bahamas Bar Association and is a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. In October 2009, Callender received the honour of appointment to Queen's Counsel. His practice areas include Commercial Law and Formation of Bank and Trust Companies, Commercial Insolvency and Commercial Litigation.
